ConstructionSkills’ Apprenticeship Matching Service and the National Apprenticeship Service have come together to offer up to £1,000 to construction companies taking on a displaced construction apprentice with less than 12 months left to complete their apprenticeship.The Apprenticeship Matching Service from ConstructionSkills helps displaced construction apprentices who have lost their jobs (through no fault of their own) in the current economic downturn and are unable to complete their apprenticeship. Many apprentices have less than 12 months left to complete. They are eager and keen to complete their training and contribute to your company.

- The funding of up to £1,000 provides immediate financial support for taking on a displaced apprentice from ConstructionSkills with less than 12 months left of their apprenticeship.
- You can claim up to £1,000 for each and every qualifying apprentice taken on.You may also be eligible for other
CITB-ConstructionSkills apprenticeship grants. - ConstructionSkills can help with additional support both for your company and the apprentice.

You qualify for this funding if you:
- have not displaced an apprentice yourself in the last 12 months
- have signed and agreed to the terms and conditions applicable to this funding
The completion of a Construction Apprenticeship Scheme deed is also expected for companies in scope to CITB-ConstructionSkills and an apprenticeship agreement for all others.
This funding is additional to any CITB-ConstructionSkills apprenticeship attendance and achievement grants.
